Joanne Hennes
|
Joanne
is a realist. Over forty years of experience hiking
the high country trails, sketching and observing the
flora and fauna of the Grand Tetons have equipped
Joanne with the wealth of knowledge of the area that
she reflects in her paintings. "I find my
greatest inspiration in towering mountains, tropical
jungles and rugged coastlines." |
Beginning her painting career in the Swiss Alps, she
has traveled extensively from the deserts of Egypt
to the volcanic peaks of Hawaii and the wonders of
New Zealand, capturing the varieties of nature on
canvas. She studied in Illinois, where she was born,
and in Paris, France. In her oils she uses the palette knife to give her
work an unusual sense of depth. Joanne's works have
been exhibited in leading galleries and museums in
the West and Hawaii.

Lake Lodge north of Jackson and an oil of Lake
Solitude for the Moose Visitor Center in Grand Teton
National Park. |
Over the years her clientele has included notables
from many parts of the world. She divides her time between
experiencing other wonders of the world and
enjoying
her home with its amazing view of the Tetons.
